CEWT team believes in doing durable work that will be long lasting and has less hindrances. Our team has done remarkable work in Thar that is world’s 18th largest desert and 9th largest hot subtropical desert. Where people have to walk miles to get water for their daily usage. The most challenging part in this region is that there are no roads, electricity or gas. And ofcourse no schools, hospitals, shops, mobile or even internet and hence, no technical expertise. Transport cost is very high but people are managing to live a very tough lifestyle in such a modern era. We have started with a single well in that region that is good enough for whole village to cater their needs for drinking, cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene and even their livestock. We have witnessed a remarkable growth within that village where they have even started school for young ones to learn basic Quran. The construction of well takes around 3-4 months, more time is taken in some cases if it comes out to be rocky area beneath. The depth is usually 200-300 feet where water is explored, we construct solid structure all the way down and a storage room is made at the bottom for long life and availability of water. The expected lifespan of each well is more than 100 years with little maintenance work. Pulley with rope and pail are kept to use manually to avoid the mechanical and electrical expertise, the reason being we have seen many that are not working that requires maintenance for solar, electrical, mechanical etc.. Our team has also done some water boring works in city for madaris as per local requirement.
